Triratna group in Madrid

Maitreyaraja re-started a Madrid Triratna Buddhist Group in 2023, alongside two other Order Members from the UK, leading classes with the support of local mitras.

Funds were needed for the groups next step, as they wished to invite other Order Members and pay for their travel from London, Barcelona and Valencia as well as creating new publicity, web pages and additional venue hire to grow the monthly Saturday morning classes.

Meetings are now supported by two local GFR mitras and are running fortnightly, with attendance between 25 to 35 people each time.

Monies will also be used for a deposit for a 2025 retreat to further build the Sangha, with the hope a couple of Order Members may move to Madrid if there is enough activity.
