Travel Bursaries for Five European Young Buddhists

Five people from Dublin, Helsinki and Paris received travel bursaries allowing them to attend the invitation only Change Makers weekend held in January 2024 at Adhisthana. This allowed them to connect and form friendships with around 40 UK Mitras who come together to share inspiration and swap ideas about running classes, marketing and fundraising for Young Peoples initiatives.  

The whole event stimulates the young people’s project and inspires people to join communities, start groups at their home centres and potentially launch future Team Based Right Livelihoods.

Marine and Erwan travelled together from Paris by train and the weekend only allowed them to spend time together being creative and building a deeper friendship.  Sharing the experience and inspiration enabled them to take this back to both the under 35s group and wider team in Paris, which has borne fruit in a livelier and more volunteer supported Sangha.
