Triratna Day 2023
Roots in the Earth, Roots in the Sky
When you give to FutureDharma you’re supporting ‘Everyday Bodhisattvas’—Dharma farers who practice and share the Dharma with other people.
Throughout the world these extraordinary people create Buddhist Centres, translate Dharma texts, teach, and make it possible for anyone, anywhere in the world to practice the Dharma.
We hope to raise £5,000 (€5696 / US$6,220) this Triratna Day so that many more people can transform their lives and build a better world.
If 50 of us give £100 (€114 / US$124), then we can do it!
The form is not published.
Over the last few years FutureDharma donors have become an essential part of Triratna. There are over 25 vital Dharma projects all over the world that depend on FutureDharma donors.
This is a lot for a small charity. If we want these core projects to continue, and if we want to be ready to respond to new, exciting projects, we will need more people to join our existing donors. The problem is that we currently have more applications for funding coming in than we can meet. This means there will be great Dharma projects that go unfunded and someone just like you or I might miss their way into the Dharma.
A year ago on Triratna Day we launched the ‘Avalokiteshvara in the World’ appeal to raise £1 million over 2 years for the Dharma. We are asking 1,000 people to become a hand of Avalokiteshvara by giving £1,000.
We know raising £1 million is ambitious, but by giving what they can, our supporters have already raised more than half of that – £550,000 (550 hands out of 1000!). This Triratna Day, we want to raise £5,000; 5 more hands of Avalokiteshvara. If 50 people give £100, or 5 people gave £1,000, we will do this easily by the end of the day.
